2011 was a big year for the gallery with
important exhibitions from Lynn Chadwick in
February to Keith Vaughan in November. We
also increased our presence at art fairs around
the world and went back into Miami with
great success.
Throughout the year we have seen the
continued strength of Modern British art,
especially the emergence of some of the less
well known artists of the immediate post war
period. We will continue to examine this era
in future exhibitions, in particular the British
sculptors of the 1950s and ‘60s.
We start 2012 at The London Art Fair from
January 17th to 22nd at Islington as usual, this
year with a bigger stand so more room to
show new acquisitions by many of the familiar
gallery artists. We will be at the major art fairs
as well, next after London is TEFAF Maastricht
from 16th to 25th March. We are planning a
linocut exhibition and a major Keith Vaughan
centenary show to coincide with the new book.
And there is a new book on Tim Flach which
we will launch at the gallery in the autumn
with a retrospective exhibition. And after the
outstanding success of the Salisbury Cathedral
installation by Sean Henry we have his solo
show of new work in April/May.
