During this period she created the first ‘truisms’ in the form of one-line posters pasted anonymously around the city.
Later she did installations with electronic LED displays
1990 Received the Leone d’Oro for her American Pavilion installation at the Venice Biennale
1996 Began her large-scale Xenon Projections of text on buildings and landscape.
This has included installations in Florence, Rome, Venice, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Oslo, Paris, Bordeaux, Berlin, Washington, New York City and Miami.
2002 Received the Kaiserring from the city of Goslar, Germany.
2004 Awarded the public art network annual award by Americans for the arts
She lives and works in Hoosick, New York.
