Paintings, Drawings, Sculpture & Ceramics
Exhibition held jointly with Berkeley Square Gallery, 23A Bruton Street
This is the second catalogue of 20th Century British Art in our series of joint exhibiions and contains an eclectic group of paintings, sculpture and drawings. This year we have included work by three of Britain's most reknown potters; Lucie Rie, Hans Coper and Ewen Henderson. Also in the exhibitionis a rare ceramic work by Henri Gaudier Brzeska; 'Cat' of 1913 was one of six casts produced in various glazes for Roger Fry's Omega workshop.

Our first catalogue and exhibition last June was a resounding success and we received many compliments for the variety of content and also for the quality of the accompanying texts. Building on the success of last year we have been able to add significantly to the range of artists.

There are numerous highlights, notably an exceptional painting 'Two Birds', 1961 by Lanyon; a particularly rare 1945 terracotta by Henry Moore; two fine early Chadwick sculptures and pivotal works by Sutherland and Wadsworth; and following the success of the retrospective at Olympia Spring Fair earlier this year we haev two fine Keith Vaughan painitngs from the early 1960s.

We feature the School of London with works by Kossoff and Auerbach, St. Ives with a delightful Alfred Wallis and classic works by Winifred Nicholson, Hepworth and Heron.

We should of course re-title the exhibition this year as we have a rare early landscape by Jack Yeats and a painting by the Australian, William Delafield Cook. However, Yeats was born in London and worked and exhibited here and Bill Cook has divided his time over the last 30 years between Australia and London. In future years we expect to increase the number of Irish pictures and indeed include more works by Australians who worked in Britain.
The gallery will be open on Saturdays for the duration of the exhibition from 10 - 2
