Description
Linocut printed in spectrum red, raw sienna, viridian and cobalt blue, 1932, on tissue thin oriental laid paper, framed.
In his printing notes, Power refers to the varying pressure on the red block to differentiate tonally the dancers faces from their bodies, similarly, the green block was to be printed more heavily on the front row of male dancers. In this impression, he is experimenting with the additional arcs in red and raw sienna extending from the dancers.
