As a result of the developing global public health crisis Osborne Samuel Gallery will be open by appointment only until further notice. Staff will mainly be working remotely and will be available via email and phone +44 20 7493 7939. Phone messages will be forwarded. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, please contact the gallery by phone, or email firstname.lastname@example.org and a member of staff will respond as soon as possible.
It remains to be seen which of the planned art fairs will still take place and we will keep you updated. We have exhibitions planned for the rest of this year, including Nash and Nevinson: Impressions of War and Peace. This is a major survey show of prints of the Great War and afterwards. Many of these are exceptionally rare and are amongst the finest works of British art from that era.
CRW Nevinson, Returning to the Trenches, 1916. Drypoint 15.1 x 20.2 cm
There will be no Private View, but the exhibition will be accompanied by an extensive hardcopy illustrated catalogue and a virtual version accessed via our website. We will also produce a Virtual Tour, a walk-through of the exhibition which will be available on our website:https://www.osbornesamuel.com
We will confirm the opening date of the exhibition when we know that we can safely install the show in the gallery.
Future planned events include a major Modern British exhibition in June, and then later in the year a Henry Moore show.
Although Tefaf Maastricht finished early we had a successful fair and a strong response to our Modern British paintings and sculpture. For those of you who missed it, this is the virtual tour. Look out for similar videos for all future gallery and art fair events.
As the weeks go by during this crisis, our website will be the ‘go to’ place for information about our activities. Our social media sites will also be regularly updated. If there is something you particularly want to see, please let us know and we can arrange a viewing at your home or office. Please do keep in touch, we are committed to our 2020 programme and will use whatever means we can to share information with you all.
