We are delighted to welcome back John Blackburn to present this fifth exhibition at the gallery of his work. This new show includes both recent works alongside selected paintings from the 1960’s. The show centres around two large recent pieces, a dramatic diptych and triptych. The inventive formal language of these ambitious new paintings conveys something of the artist’s constant underlying themes of the human capacity for both love and violence.
