GALLERY PROGRAMME

With A Conscious Eye

5 - 21 December 2013

For several years now we have put on photography shows at the gallery in December, notably featuring the work of Tim Flach. This exhibition takes us into new territory as we show three photographers, each with their own unique and personal viewpoint, each new to the gallery. Nick Danziger is the best known and for this project we have chosen his outstanding recent photographs of the Maha Kumbh Mela in India, one of the greatest gatherings of people in one place anywhere in the world. Justin Partyka is completely absorbed by the landscape and farming community in his remote part of Norfolk, which he has beautifully observed and recorded over many years, and David Constantine has travelled the world, making exceptional and intimate portraits of the people he has met on his travels.
